With great thanks to the ACLU of Florida and Southeast Volusia Democratic Club member Milton Arnold for sharing these resources. Please share to your networks so everyone is aware.
Resources for Immigrants as of February 6, 2025
The Republican administration is increasing deportation of undocumented immigrants and also immigrants with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) such as Venezuelans. As an ACLU volunteer, Milton became aware of sources of information to prepare for and safely defend their rights during encounters with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
- wehaverights.us. There is a series of 7 animated video stories (available in 7 languages) which describe possible interactions with ICE and how to defend your rights safely. Also on this site is a plan to prepare in advance in 3 languages.
- Resources for Immigrants QR code page has 4 QR codes and one phone number: 1-888-600-5762 FLIC (Florida Immigrant Coalition) a non-profit that serves the immigrant community. All immigrants should put this number in their phone.
The QR codes bring you to these sources:
